An Ethical PPI Claims Service from Independent SolicitorsNationwide

Yes it is. Solicitors have a professional duty to act in their client’s best interests; Claims Companies don’t owe any such duty.

As Solicitors we have a professional duty to:

  • Act with integrity

  • Act in the best interests of each client

  • Provide a proper standard of service and

  • Not allow our independence to be compromised

We will review the options open to you impartially. We will consider the pathways that are likely to be in YOUR best interests. This includes the possibility of dealing with the PPI claim yourself.  Many Claims Companies fail to point out that by dealing  with the case yourself you can often achieve the same outcome without incurring any legal fees.

If you decide to appoint a lawyer it’s important to choose an  independent solicitor with a professional obligation to act in your best interests in order to achieve the outcome that is right for you.

We will also advise you about costs, clearly and transparently. We will explain how our No Win – No Fee scheme works and how this will impact on the compensation recovered.

By choosing The PPI Solicitors you will be assured of receiving a truly professional and independent service of the very highest standard.

We deal with PPI claims on a No Win-No Fee basis, offering what we believe is one of the most competitive success fee rates on the market, which is capped at a maximum 15% + VAT.

Our  fees are based on what we recover on your behalf. So if we don’t recover any compensation you won’t owe us anything. If you succeed then we deduct up to 15% plus VAT from the sum recovered to cover our costs. You receive the balance.

We are an independent, regulated firm of solicitors committed to ensuring you receive impartial advice and a quality legal service at a reasonable price. You are entirely free to deal with the case yourself (or use the services of a claims company), but if you do choose to use us we are certain you won’t be disappointed by the quality of service you receive.

We are the PPI Solicitors and we offer a professional and ethical claims service. You can be sure you will receive truly independent and impartial advice.

As solicitors we have a professional duty to advise you on what is in your best interest. This isn’t always the case with the so called ‘Claims Management Companies’ who have jumped on the PPI bandwagon, looking to make a quick profit”

  • We will carry out an independent review of your PPI claim

  • We will advise how you can make a PPI claim yourself

  • We are totally transparent about legal costs and will explain clearly how our no win, no fee 15% (plus VAT) charging scheme operates

People are often unaware that they can claim PPI compensation. Confusion sometimes arises because PPI comes under several different names, such as:

  • Accident sickness and unemployment cover

  • Card protection

  • Mortgage Payment Protection Insurance (MPPI)

  • Personal Loan Protection (PLP)

  • Life accident sickness and unemployment cover

  • Credit card repayment protection.

It is estimated that over 30 million PPI policies have been mis-sold over the last six years. If you have been sold a PPI policy then you could be entitled to PPI compensation running to thousands of pounds.

PPI Claims – The Facts

PPI, which stands for Payment Protection Insurance, is designed to cover people for loan or credit card repayments in the event of illness, accident or unemployment.

PPI has been widely mis-sold. Many people have paid for PPI without even knowing.

Banks and financial institutions have been ordered to pay back up to £4.5bn in compensation to consumers.

PPI itself is not a bad financial product. Many people have genuine need of PPI and it serves them well. In those cases PPI compensation will not be available. PPI compensation is designed to compensate people who have been the victims of mis-selling and have paid money for potentially worthless cover they don’t need.

Financial experts have discovered that the cost of PPI insurance can outweigh the risk it is designed to cover. It has been heavily criticised as one of the most overpriced financial products on the market.

Staff employed by the financial institutions providing PPI were often incentivised to sell PPI policies. Many were under so much pressure they overstepped the mark in their efforts to sell the product, selling the wrong insurance to the wrong people.

Although there has been considerable mis-selling of PPI – with many genuine and legitimate claims arising – the approach of ‘claims management companies’ in particular has led to many people thinking that anyone with a PPI policy has a good claim. That is just not the case – see our 2 minute PPI test.

People are often unaware that they can claim PPI compensation. Confusion sometimes arises because PPI comes under several different names, such as:

  • Accident sickness and unemployment cover

  • Card protection

  • Mortgage Payment Protection Insurance (MPPI)

  • Personal Loan Protection (PLP)

  • Life and accident sickness and unemployment cover

  • Credit card repayment protection.

PPI policies have been around since the late 1980s. Generally speaking (there are exceptions), if the policy has not been active within the last six years, it will not be possible to make a claim and the banks are not required to retain their records for periods before then. In these circumstances, if you have not kept records and documents yourself you may find it difficult to make a successful claim, even it is was mis-sold.

Finally, are uncomfortable with the Claims Management Companies’ cold calling techniques along with their text message and email bombardments. Nor do we approve of the inflated costs that some of these organisations charge -– it can add up to 45% + VAT of the compensation recovered in certain cases. Contrast that with the 15%+ VAT maximum rate that we offer.

As regulated solicitors we provide a truly professional, independent and tailored service to PPI claimants who want to entrust their claim to an expert they can rely on to do a good job at a fair price.

If you take advantage of our free claim assessment offer we will discuss these issues with you and offer guidance on whether you are likely to have a viable PPI claim which you can choose to pursue yourself or through us.
